The free version of BrickDesign is limited to use 10’000 of bricks and the scripting interface is disabled. A full commercial licence can be obtained from within the software. For non-commercial licence, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally you can download the first official release of BrickDesign. Download The light version is for free. The light-version has the following restrictions: No more than 4000 bricks no facade objects and no Code-Plugins. You can buy anytime a 1-year full licence for 300 swiss francs.
We actually made it on time. As of now the all new release 0.9 is available for download. It has a reworked user interface. Also we simplified the installation procedure (no installer needed anymore). To avoid conflicts please uninstall any previous version of BrickDesign.
The next release will be available soon. At the end of November we will be uploading it on this site. The current release available for download generates at startup the message that it is expired. Please ignore this message and just keep on working with it.
Here is a minor bug fix to BrickDesign 0.5. To install, please go to the Download page. Also, install this update if your Version of BrickDesign has expired.
Finally, we got around to post the new beta 0.5 BrickDesign. Some of you already realized that the old 0.4 is not working anymore. Sorry about that. We just got so tied in into bug fixing and working on the user interface that we totally forgot about posting an updated version. Actually, the next version with an all new GUI is coming very soon.
To get BrickDesign 0.5 go to to the Download page. we also updated the tutorial Tutorial_120605_05 and added an additional trutorial on how to apply patterns onto a facade: Tutorial_Patterns_120605_05.
Still, in order to download the software you need to be logged in. I hope this does not discourage you to try out the software, we will probably change this in the future, as soon as we have some time to work on the website.

The development of BrickDesign was triggered by a small software we realized a couple of years ago for the company Keller AG Ziegeleien. ROB Creator is a java-based program, which allows the user to apply patterns and images on straight brick walls. The created designs can be directly ordered from Keller. This software lacks a lot of functionalities BrickDesign has to offer. But, it is fun to play around with and has the advantage to be a standalone software and very easy to use. If you want to give it a try, you can get it here: ROB Creator.
